Botch reissues American Nervoso

Tin Hat
Seattle's Botch was one of extreme music's great alchemizers, mixing the crushing heaviness of metal and all-out rage of hardcore in ways that broke most of the genres' conventions and established a whole bunch of new ones. Now, five years after the band's members split to pursue other interests (These Arms Are Snakes, Minus the Bear, Roy), Hydra Head is re-releasing Botch's classic first album American Nervoso, with punchier sound and five bonus tracks. If you've already got the original issue, it's a perfect time to revisit the magic. If not, ooh boy.
