Those who take every excuse they can get to bash U2 licked their chops a couple of weeks ago when U2's manager Paul McGuiness argued that Radiohead backfired">Radiohead's In Rainbows experiment backfired and stuck with his old guard guns. Well, leave it to Bono to bail out the band's credibility.
In a letter to Radiohead courageous">NME, Bono praised Radiohead for their ingenuity, calling them "courageous and imaginative in trying to figure out some new relationship with their audience," saying that U2's members "feel blessed to be around at the same time." Of course, there was no reference to U2 changing their dinosaur business model with their own upcoming album, but at least least the bands are playing nice.

Dinosaur business model??? Weren't they the first ones to release their entire catalog, including tons of never released stuff on itunes? They are the only ones I know of that had an ipod branded just for them with their name, which included every single song they ever released when you purchased it. They do stick to the concrete, physical releases as well, but so do all other bands -as they should. Now, whether or not they'll construct a cash-sucking machine by releasing their album via internet, a ridiculoulsy-priced box vinyl set, and then a couple different versions of the conventional CD is yet to be seen.
I'm not sayin...i'm just sayin.
