Bono meeting with John McCain, Sarah Palin in New York this week

Traffic around the UN building in Manhattan is grinding to a painful halt this week as various world leaders meet for the World Summit. George W. Bush is set to find himself painfully usurped as he gives his last address as president, with vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin expected to grab most of the headlines. But Palin has another date to add to her calendar, as she meets with U2 frontman Bono on Wednesday.

Bono will meet with John McCain and Palin as a representative of the ONE organization, which aims to reduce global poverty and disease. A statement from ONE says the organization has also been in touch with Barack Obama about a separate meeting, but will meet this week with McCain/Palin “as part of an ongoing conversation about the importance of continued American leadership in the fight against AIDS and extreme poverty.”

It’s unclear why Bono wants to meet with Palin, considering the lack of stamps on her passport. Presumably it’s a publicity stunt designed to throw a focus on ONE, as no request to meet with Joe Biden has been mentioned in the proposed Bono-Obama meet. One thing is for sure: paparazzi photographers are going to have a field day in New York on Wednesday. [The Daily Swarm]

Please get a photo with Palin and Bono by themselves. We would like to put it in our living room to inspire our 3 girls.

I am not an Obama fan but now you say he is spreading lies about you. Everything here is a lie? You tell us.

Possibly charged rape kits to victims, does not believe in evolution, religion is questionable, encourages shooting bears and wolves from lowing flying planes, troopergate, no abortions for rape or incest, supported the bridge to no where before she opposed it. Has a pregnant teenager, her only experiences with Foreign Relations is the fact she can see Russia from AL, Questioned a librarian about book banning and later the librarian was fired. Does not believe in Global Warming, and left her city in debt as Mayor.
Has not submitted her tax returns yet.

Cannot stand the heat - better get out of the kitchen.

"religion is questionable" "Has a pregnant teengaer"

Pretty immature claims. Bono has always been nonpartisan...which is one of his best qualities. It's interesting because no one calls out all the bands who flash their ego faces all over the place in favor of Obama. Which is something Bono could easily do if he wanted. Apparently, he doesn't want that.

Dear why not,
Last I checked you couldn't see Russia from Alabama. Oh and the bridge to no where she did vote for it first and than when she became gov. found out how it wasn't needed and voted against it. You know what, she wanted the money that was to go into building the bridge to be sent to New Orleans victims but it was voted down. (guess who was one of the people who voted against it. -hint- he is running for president and it is not McCain) Yes her daughter is going to have a baby but at least no one in her party is calling her daughters baby a product of incest. Not to mention lets do a add about how McCain cant use a computer. Did they mention that he physically cant use a computer because of his war injuries. You know I was a Obama supporter until I started doing my homework. Now I am ashamed that I ever supported someone like him. The way he is running his campaign is an insult. You know McCain isn't perfect either but the way Obama twisted facts around to look good makes me wonder what he would do if no one was looking.

Why Not,

I do not say this as a staunch supporter of the McCain/Palin ticket - I am still not 100% sure about my vote, BUT I will say that before I would even consider making negative attack comments, I would be more informed. I would say that is not your policy...

(me - I spit out my lemonade when I read your "Last I checked you couldn't see Russia from Alabama" statement)

Evolution: many religious sects do not believe in Evolution. So why is this a political statement?

Speaking of Religion: I know many "Bible Believing Christians" who may or may not have a Church affiliation, who are more committed to their faith than many church going Christians. And this begs to the Evolution comment again - if she is a "Bible Believing Christian"
that would make Evolution impossible for her to believe in because the Bible teaches that God created man and woman - its called CREATIONISM.

No abortions for rape or incest: its called PRO-LIFE.

That bridge to no where: Once she educated herself more on the bridge, she opposed it - and wanted allocated funds to go to Katrina victims. What a bad bad person she is (BTW, your pal Obama - he opposed that!).

Hunting from planes - note that she approved PREDATOR hunting from planes - to allow a deteriorating moose population to rebuild.

I could go on and on, but hopefully you would choose to do your own research.

I do not know that I support all of her policies, but seriously, get off the bash-wagon and educate yourself.

(and so you dont look like a fool again - AK = ALASKA)

Its funny to me that people will bash Palin, and support Obama because they dont like the VP pick. Has anyone looked at Biden? And when did this become a VP race anyway?

Wow Prefix is unparalleled amongst the music sites...might as well make this an official political blog as well.
While Whynot doesn't necessarily use logic and sounds absurd, Justme2day you're wrong in exhausting evolution believers amongst Christians. There are many Christians who believe in both evolution and intelligent design.
Every race is full of lies and misconceptions- on both sides.
