Bonnaroo 2009 is Reportedly a Resounding Success

With each passing year, Bonnaroo grows more musically diverse than ever, sporting a long roster of bands which this year included Animal Collective, Wilco, Elvis Costello, Bruce Springsteen and recently reunited jammers, Phish. Recession or no recession, according to the festival's producers, this year's Bonnaroo may have been their most successful to date. Bonnaroo welcomed thousands of fans who who stayed on till the festival's completion, withstanding thunderstorms, Nashville heat and muddy feet. According to A.C. Entertainment president Ashley Capps, the approximate Bonnaroo head count was up to about 75,000 this year, as opposed to around 70,000 in 2008. [Billboard]
