Bonnaroo 2008 DVD on the way

Someday you may try to explain Bonnaroo to your grandchildren. There's a good chance you'll begin by describing the festival's jam-band origins, telling your impressionable descendants how it all started with a bunch of scruffy-bearded Dead-worshippers before things finally exploded in all directions. That origin story will be all the more difficult to relate if your visual aid winds up being the Bonnaroo 2008 DVD. Set for a January release through Superfly Presents/A.C. Entertainment, this audiovisual document of the most recent festival is perhaps the ultimate affirmation of the dizzying variety of styles represented at Bonnaroo these days. 

Originally available only to Bonnaroo attendees as part of their ticket packages, the DVD will feature Sharon Jones, Broken Social Scene, Metallica, Against Me!, My Morning Jacket, and much more, all remixed for 5.1 surround sound. And in this recessionary era, you might be interested to know that for a brief window of time, pre-orders are available at a discounted rate.
