Bon Jovi Backs Nirvana in Cobain Sings Bon Jovi Travesty

Courtney Love, the surviving members of Nirvana the CEO of Activision, your sister; everyone has voiced their opnion about Kurt Cobain singing Bon Jovi in the latest edition of Guitar Hero. But someone at the BBC had the great idea of asking Bon Jovi himself what he thought about the whole situation, and perhaps surprisingly, he totally backed the members of Nirvana:

“I don’t know that I would have wanted it either,” Bon Jovi told the BBC. “To hear someone else’s voice coming out of a cartoon version of me? I don’t know. It sounds a little forced.”

Real talk, JBJ. He also said that he was approached by Activision to appear in the same game, but no one mentioned he’d be expected to sing other people’s songs:

“I had the paperwork, they wanted me to be on that game and I just passed,” he explained. “But no-one even broached the subject with me that I would be singing other people’s stuff. I don’t know how I would have reacted to that.”

So maybe this also lends credence to Activision saying Courtney was totes cool with it, because apparently they never got to the point with Bon Jovi where’d they’d ask him if he was cool singing “Smells Like Teen Spirit.” [Spinner]
