How do you know when an indie artist is now a huge star? When scalped tickets for their shows start scraping the monthly rent price range.
Bon Iver has made that transition, as tickets for the Wisconsins folkie's sold out North American tour are currently on sale on places like Stub Hub for more than $400. Seriously.
I can attest to prices being that high: The show here in Madison sold out in an hour, and the tickets are on Craigslist for around $200. That's crazy for this market, and adjusted for East Coast inflation, that's around $400. Bon Iver might be on an indie, but dude is major now, obviously. [DMN]
