We reported that Lana Del Rey had worked with Damon Albarn and soul veteran Bobby Womack quite a while ago. But now the news is that the trio's collaborative work will appear on Womack's forthcoming album, The Bravest Man in the Universe. Del Rey and Womack will share the fourth track, "Dayglo Reflection." The record is set to be released via XL on June 12 in the US, and it will mark the singer/songwriter's first album of new material in 18 years. Also recently, in an interview with NME, Womack dished out the compliments to Albarn.
Working with Damon was one of the best things that ever happened to me. He is a special soul. I have known a few of those, though many of them, people like Sam Cooke and Wilson Pickett, have passed on. Damon is like a younger version of that old school, someone who actually believes in you and lets you express yourself.
A new, second Womack LP was also confirmed, with guest set to include Stevie Wonder, Snoop Dogg and Rod Stewart. Below, stream the lead single off Universe, "Please Forgive My Heart." [FACT]
