Bobby Brown has issued a statement regarding the recent passing of legendary singer Whitney Houston, to whom he was married from 1992 to 2007. In it, Brown--who turned 43 a few days before Houston's death--asks for privacy and thanks those who have shown support for his family. Both he and Houston have won Grammy awards in the past. Below, you can read his understandably brief statement. [Billboard]
I am deeply saddened at the passing of my ex-wife, Whitney Houston. At this time, we ask for privacy, especially for my daughter, Bobbi-Kristina. I appreciate all of the condolences that have been directed towards my family and I at this most difficult time.
