Bob Mould Launches Kickstarter Campaign For Concert Film

Bob Mould of the legendary Hüsker Dü is a musician whose legacy is worth honoring. Nearly a year ago on November 21, 2011, that’s exactly what happened. At the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, California, 2,265 fans came together to watch his songs performed by the likes of Dave Grohl (The Foo Fighters, Nirvana), Britt Daniels (Spoon), Ryan Adams, No Age and more. Director Justin Mitchell was on hand to film the historic night and now Bob Mould wants to turn it into a concert film using Kickstarter.

As with most crowd-sourced projects, the film titled See A Little Light: A Celebration Of The Music And Legacy Of Bob Mould, has a goal that will allow the project to be produced only if the full amount of $95,000 is reached. Currently shy of $20,000 with a whole 37 days to go, the Kickstarter project features incentives such as unreleased songs, a DVD of the film, limited edition t-shirts, screen printed posters, a 7-inch vinyl record and even a guitar signed by Mould.

The campaign ends on December 22 and can be funded at Bob Mould’s Kickstarter page. [The Daily Swarm]
