Two years ago, Blu dropped off a free, love-themed album, Her Favorite Colo(u)r, that found the rapper spitting over his own dusty breaks and jazzy samples. It was a welcome, albeit short, effort from the ever-elusive California native who seems to be dropping more scattered material than proper projects these days. That all (kind of) changes here with the news that he will be dropping off the seven-track Amnesia EP next month. It features choice cuts from Her Favorite Colo(u)r, such as, obviously, "Amnesia" and "Since," along with instrumental and "rewind" versions. Hopefully the official release of this EP means that Blu has more projects on the way, including his proper solo debut and that second project with Exile.
The Amnesia EP drops Feb. 15 digitally and hits record stores as a 10-inch vinyl March 1.
