According to NME, Blur's Damon Albarn revealed that the band would record a new album together...but there's a catch: It'd only be for a film. In a recent interview with The Sun, the singer declared that Blur would be interested in making a soundtrack album.
The front man went on to talk about the band's upcoming Olympics closing ceremony performance at Hyde Park, admitting it would be their "last gig in the country this year and probably for a long time," and continuing with, "But that doesn't mean it's the end of Blur. If someone wanted us to do an album for a film I'd definitely be interesting in something like that. So that's the offer."
You heard it filmmakers; who wants to hire Blur??
