Is the Blur reunion over almost as quickly as it begun? The Britpop figureheads played the T in the Park festival in Scotland this weekend, which was the last scheduled date in their brief reunion. The potentially sad news for fans is that singer Damon Albarn called the show their “last” concert together.
The hit-packed set almost never happened when guitarist Graham Coxon was rushed to hospital with food poisoning. Coxon made it to the show and the band played 30 minutes later than scheduled, with Albarn announcing: "We nearly didn't make it. Graham literally walked out of a hospital to come here. He's all right. This is our last gig."
No further shows are scheduled for Blur, but it’s possible that Albarn wasn’t being entirely serious with his announcement. There was a poignant tinge to his words as the band left the stage: "I want to thank everyone who's supported us, everyone who's given their heart and soul.”
