In advance of their upcoming behemoth Blur 21: The Box–a 21-disc retrospective out July 30–Blur have released their own accompanying app for the iPhone and iPad. The app features rare and previously unreleased music, including a number of demos and remixes from the band’s two-decade career. Also included is an interactive timeline that sports archival video footage of band interviews and performances, comprehensive discography, and a setlist database from thousands of the band’s shows.
The app syncs up with news feeds from Blur’s official website as well as their Twitter and Facebook pages. Users will be able to share content from the app on their own profiles. Blur: The App is available now for free from the iTunes store. [NME]
