Blueprint Announces Collaboration EP With Aesop Rock And Two Other Projects

After completing a summer tour with Illogic as Greenhouse in support of the duo’s new album Bend But Don’t Break, Blueprint went to his personal blog (Printmatic.net) to announce three upcoming projects.

The first on the list is a full length EP with fellow Rhymesayers rapper and long time friend Aesop Rock.  Aesop Rock is another rapper who doesn’t shy away from creating full length collaborations with musicians.  Earlier this year, he released the album Hokey Fright as The Uncluded with singer-songwriter Kimya Dawson.  In 2011, he released Are You Gonna to Eat That? with Rob Sonic and DJ Big Wiz as Hail Mary Mallon.

Besides that project, Blueprint also mentioned that a new Soul Position (w/ RJD2) project is in the works.  It will be the duo’s first endeavor since 2006’s Things Go Better With RJ and AL.  And, because three is always a chance, Blueprint also mentioned that a new solo project is “complete” and he is “looking to get it out in the first half of 2014.”  It will be a follow up to 2011’s Adventures in Counter-Culture.  Check out the videos for Blueprint’s “Radio-Inactive” and Aesop Rock’s “Cycles to Gehenna.”

It is not clear at the moment which record labels any of these projects will be released on.
