Jay-Z has pushed the release date for the The Blueprint 3 up three days to September 8. The information has not been officially released, but online retailers have updated their sites to reflect the change. The release date was planned to coincide with the release of the original Blueprint. Possibly somebody at Roc Nation finally realized that most people don't have September 11, 2001 marked on their calendars as a day when Jay-Z released the first of the Blueprint series. Odds are, though, the move was really made to combat leaks and so more robust weekly sales figures could be reported. In the end, nothing beats capitalism. Nothing. [Billboard]
