Via: NMEThe members of Bloc Party weren't exactly greeted with open arms at last night's show in Aberdeen. Two songs into the set, someone from the crowd hit frontman Kele Okereke with a coin, causing the band to leave the stage. Okereke wasn't seriously hurt, and the band did eventually return to finish the show, but the mood was noticeably different after the incident, according to reports.
"It was a pretty good gig in the end, but aside from a couple of songs they didn't look they were having fun, and the coin-throwing incident made the rest of the gig feel a bit awkward."
Serious question: Who pays money to see a band only to throw crap at them when they're on stage? I mean, trashing a band you dislike at a festival is one thing, but presumably the coin-thrower paid just to see Bloc Party in this instance . . .
