New Bloc Party album, Intimacy, out digitally on Thursday

In a bit of surprising news this Monday afternoon, Bloc Party have announced their third LP, Intimacy, will be available digitally this Thursday, August 21. Before you get all excited thinking the band pulled a Radiohead, calm down. It’ll run you $10 for the digital version and $20 if you want a physical copy shipped to in October when the album sees a physical release (October 27 in the U.K., and October 28 in the U.S.).
The fact that the band are getting proactive with distribution makes sense, considering frontman Kele Okerke complained that on the day of the release of their last album, A Weekend in the City, everyone in the crowd already knew all the words to the new songs since it leaked months in advance. That’s not fit to happen now.

Intimacy features previous single “Mercury,” and nine other tracks.

Intimacy track list:
01 Ares
02 Mercury
03 Halo
04 Biko
05 Trojan Horse
06 Signs
07 One Month Off
08 Zephyrus
09 Better Than Heaven
10 Ion Square

Haha. I didn't like the direction they went in on their last album.
