Video: Bloc Party "Flux"

Carried by a careening synth track and a wailing guitar, Bloc Party'''s latest single, ''"Flux,''" is a reckless tribute to one of life'''s most reckless endeavors: Love. Fittingly, the video, like the song, is equal parts chaotic, violent, and joyful.
Taking place in a mock city filled with giant sized monsters who sometimes behave as anything but (the various dance lines WILL make you smile) and sometimes play their role perfectly (the city in which the video takes place is eventually left in total ruin), the characters manage to strike a perfect blend of silly fun and weighty emotion. Watching the monsters fall in love is sweet, watching them fight is eye popping in its recklessness, and watching them dance is the purest kind of stupid fun.
Of course, anyone who knows anything about love shouldn'''t be the least bit surprised that a video with people dressed like monsters fighting, dancing, and being stupid with each other is more representative of love than any of the television clichés and conventions found in most mainstream videos.

Good ish. At first I thought it wwas some weird mash-up of the Beastie Boys "Intergalactic" and Chappelle's Show's "Blackzilla." It might be sad though that I thought the funniest part was when the bad robot boyfriend began choking his robot girlfriend.
