Bloc Party drummer Matt Tong Hospitalized with collapsed lung

Sometime last night following the band's performace in Atlanta, Bloc Party drummer Matt Tong suffered a collapsed lung and was taken to a nearby hospital. There isn't a wealth of information available at the moment, but the band did release the following statement on its website:
"Doctors at the hospital in Atlanta say Matt is in a comfortable condition and not in any danger, he will however be staying in hospital for at least the next three days for observation and it's not clear at this stage when Matt will be fit to resume performing."
These events obviously put the band's current tour supporting Panic! At The Disco up in the air. As of now, the band has cancelled upcoming performances in Charlotte, Fairfax and both shows in New York. We'll update you with further details once they become available.

[...] Now that Bloc Party drummer Matt Tong has recovered from the collapsed lung he suffered back in November, the band is going to give touring North America another go. Once the band finishes up its upcoming dates in Europe and Japan, the band will make it’s way back to this side of the pond to tour throughout the majority of March.
