
Following a series of rumors and the band’s signing with Frenchkiss Records, today Bloc Party have officially announced their next studio album. The figure of four dominates the release. Their fourth album and their first for four years, the new record is sensibly entitled Four. It features production by Alex Newport (who has worked with The Mars Volta and At The Drive-In), was recorded and mixed in NYC and will drop on August 21 via Frenchkiss.
Four will be backed by a massive North American and European tour, and a detailed list of the dates, as well as Bloc Party’s trailer for the new record, can be found below.
