Bloc Party discuss album leak

Via: NME
Bloc Party frontman Kele Okereke has spoken out about the band's thoughts on their second album, A Weekend in the City, leaking onto the Internet way back in November--months before its intended release date. "We were worried how that would affect things, but it's number one in the midweek charts."
You can read the rest of the story by clicking on the link above. Sadly, Okereke doesn't address a much more pressing concern: His thoughts on the fact that A Weekend in the City isn't very good.

Bloc Party

From Insound: "Bloc Party - A Weekend In The City: We'''ve still got a few left! The first 1000 customers to order the new album get an Insound exclusive 7''" featuring two Bloc Party tracks, one of them unreleased! 'A Weekend in the City' is bursting with paranoia, tension, passion and pop."And that has been up there, on the front page no less, for a long ass time. My theory is it has nothing to do with the album leak and everything to do with the fact that this band is no good and most discerning music folk are over Kele & Co. But, silly Insound went and pressed 1,000 7" that they are still trying their best to get rid of thinking otherwise.
