Bleak Alert: Frances Bean Turns 18, Courtney Love Rants About It On Twitter

Frances Bean Cobain has turned 18, is about to attend Bard, and has just inherited a sizable portion of her late father’s fortune, You’d think life would be good, right? Wrong. Yes, Courtney Lovehas taken to Twitter on the event of her daughter’s birthday, and the results make for uncommonly depressing reading.

Buzzfeed has compiled the “best” of Love’s tweets (if you can call them that), most of which directly address Bean, touching on how much money she is set to inherit, pinging back and forth between love and resentment, and ultimately allowing the singer to say how sorry she is about a number of issues.

It’s enough to make you wish Twitter had never been invented, but if you want to dip into the abyss, the compilation of tweets can be viewed here. Let’s hope that Love returns to more palatable fare, like arguing with journalists or promoting the shit out of Nobody’s Daughter, some time soon.
