For those of you not in the know*, Blake Shelton is a country singer who was a guest host on NBC’s The Voice, aka the thing keeping that dude from Maroon 5 gainfully employed. He just released an album last week, which is good timing by his label, since his season on The Voice wrapped close to that. That turned out to work big time, since Shelton has the number one album in the country this week, selling 116,000 copies of his album, Red River Blue. It’s Shelton’s first number one.
But the other news is that Adele is hanging strong at number three, selling a consistent 77,000 copies, only a three percent drop from last week. 21 sure has some legs, doesn’t it? For more chart news, go to Billboard.
