Black Rebel Motorcycle Club to return to form

Via Billboard
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club will be returning to form with their new record, which they are currently recording, according to Peter Hayes. Their 2005 acoustic country/blues record Howl was a departure from their first two sonically charged rock albums, but some of the textures explored on Howl will make their way into the new record, which is 80-90% done. "Things open up and break down within the songs, a lot," says Hayes. "There are some songs that are kind of groove-oriented, not so blues or country influenced." Some tracks expected to make the album are: "Berlin," "The Show," "Cold Wind," "Weapon of Choice" and "Killin' the Light." BRMC recently took time out from this record to open for the Rolling Stones on two dates in Montana and Kansas. The new as-yet-untitled album is expected to be released in February or March 2007.
