Black Milk Discusses 'Album of the Year'

The name of Black Milk's forthcoming record, Album of the Year, might look tacky on its face. But I get the feeling most people are overlooking the fact that it's about a year in his life. It's not some conceited-as-hell statement, though, to be fair, this Detroit rapper-producer will have one of the better albums of 2010. Throughout this interview, he discusses how all the sounds of the Motor City have molded his style along with some thoughts on Album of the Year. We also get some footage of Black Milk performing with a live band. From what I have seen, it looks a show worth seeing if you get a chance, if only to hear his drums, which are a defining point of his production, played on an actual kit.

Album of the Year drops Sept. 14.
