Black Lips "Drop I Hold" is 200 Million Thousand's biggest left-turn--during the track, Cole Alexander raps about "blowing your ass away" after a sample of the Jonestown Massacre tape. In promotion of the album, which is out now via Vice, Vice has been releasing videos of the band discussing tracks from the album. In the clip above, the band talk about "Drop I Hold" originally being titled "Glock I Hold," but then being changed to be about acid instead of guns, which is way more fitting than Black Lips being gangsters.
Culture Bully has a clip of the band discussing "Drugs," while My Old Kentucky Blog has the band talking up "Short Fuse." Two more videos will be hitting other blogs this week.
I was definitely curious to see how that track came about.

My favorite track on the album. Sh-t, it's good for when you've had a drink. Real f-ckin' smooth.

Hiya, I work with the Black Lips and would love to hear any feedback from fans surrounding their latest tracks, music videos and any live shows you have been to.
Also don't forget to catch the guys playing the Electric Ballroom on tuesday, where they will be selling their new limited edition tee's - http://bit.ly/Q6V7B and giving away 6 pairs of tickets to the isle of white festival!
