Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach going solo

Black Keys guitarist and singer Dan Auerbach has announced that he has a solo album, Keep It Hid, slated for a February 10 release via Nonesuch. In an interview with Billboard, Auerbach said that songs on Keep It Hid are ones that he’s been saving for a few years that couldn’t fit into The Black Keys oeuvre. The album features guest spots from his protégé Jessica Lea Mayfield, his dad Chuck, and one of his uncles, and musically the album will cross genres like bluegrass and psychedlia.

Auerbach plans to tour behind Keep It Hid, but won’t play any Black Keys songs, just whatever he feels like.
