Black Eyed Peas Admit to Not Clearing Freeland Sample

Earlier this week, Freeland, an electronic musician, accused, via his Twitter and the YouTube video above, the Black Eyed Peas of stealing the music from his "Mancry" for their "Party All the Time." The Times of Malta got an opportunity to talk to the Black Eyed Peas about Freeland's allegations, and the Peas more or less confirmed that they stole the song.

“It was a lack of finalising legalities before releasing the record, clearance was not done and that was what it was about."

That's pretty much exactly the same response Will gave when he illegally added Daft Punk to a remix from his solo album, Songs About Girls. It seems like it's a bit late to admit the clearance wasn't done--the album has been out for a month--and if I were Freeland, I'd sue them like crazy. [Daily Swarm]
