Thanks to a posting on her website, we can now have some concrete information on Bjork's forthcoming album. Volta, her sixth solo studio album will arive in stores May 7. The album was written and produced entirely by Bjork, but will include a number of guest appearances as we reported earlier. Artists slated to appear on the album include, Antony Hegarty (Antony & the Johnsons,) Brian Chippendale (Lightning Bolt,) Chris Corsano (Sonic Youth, Six Organs Of Admittance,) Toumani Diabate and Konono No1. In addition to this, Timbaland help Bjork with three of the tracks she produced. Not to get ahead of ourselves, but this is shaping up to be one of the most intriguing releases of the year.
