Note to journalists: if you spot Bjork in public, particularly at an airport, stay the eff away. You’re likely to get a whupping. Reuters reports today that everyone’s favorite Sugarcube attacked a news photographer in New Zealand and ripped his shirt in half after he ignored a request not to take any photos. This isn’t the first time Bjork dropped a hammer on a newshound at an airport. You might recall this Bjork beatdown at Bangkok’s airport in 1996. While pushing her child on a luggage cart and surrounded by paparazzi, she basically went all Logan/Wolverine-style on a female television news reporter.

Glenn Jeffrey, the photog who was attacked in New Zealand on Sunday, told the New Zealand Herald that Bjork was with a man who asked him not to take any shots. "I took a couple of pictures and I got about three or four frames of her ... and as I turned and walked away she came up behind me, grabbed the back of my black skivvy (sweatshirt) and tore it down the back," he said. "As she did this she fell over, she fell to the ground. At no stage did I touch her or speak with her."

Bjork said nothing during the confrontation, but her companion pleaded with her to stop, Jeffrey said. [Reuters]
