Biz Markie Tours With The Toddler Acid Trip That Is “Yo Gabba Gabba.”

If you’ve never seen the Nickelodeon children’s show Yo Gabba Gabba, do yourself a favor and YouTube that shit. Or, even better, have a kid and place them in front of that show all day and watch them simultaneously learn about crossing the street and experience music from the likes of Chromeo and the Roots. The show is hosted by DJ Lance Rock, and features the DJ animated his toys to teach children important life lessons. Oh, and it’s also got an instantly classic segment entitled “Biz’s Beat of the Day” where old-school rapper Biz Markie does a simple beatbox for the youngsters watching– check the above video for an example.

If you’re intrigued– and I weep for your inner child if you’re not– the folks of Yo Gabba Gabba, including Biz himself, are going to be heading out on a 60-city tour throughout North America, starting tomorrow. Previous guests on the live tour have included the likes of Sarah Silverman and Talib Kweli, so you’ll have a perfect response for the weird looks you’ll receive from all the cougars sure to be bringing their kids. You can grab tickets here, and peep the tour dates below. [Spinner]
