One day after it was announced that The Game has taken shots (once again) at 50 Cent, the west coast rapper has made it to the news for another time this week. After the release of his most recent project 2012’s Jesus Piece, The Game’s deal with Interscope Records came to a close. Tonight, it was announced via Birdman’s Twitter account that The Game has signed with his Cash Money Records. Even though Cash Money is home to commercially successful artists like Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Tyga, and Drake, the record label has also been making some strange and unsuccessful signings in the last couple years. This week Cash Money signee Paris Hilton released her debut music video with the label for her song “Good Time” (a song which features Lil Wayne). Other disappointing signees include: Busta Rhymes, Limp Bizkit, Bow Wow, and Mystikal.
Over the years, The Game has collaborated with Lil Wayne on a number of occasions. The two have created songs such as “My Life,” “Red Nation,” and “Martians Vs. Goblins.”
No word yet on when The Game’s Cash Money debut album will be released.
