Billy Bragg launches North American tour

Billy Bragg's name has been popping up a lot lately, and it's only fitting that he will be hitting the U.S. beginning in October just in time to give his thoughts on the U.S. Election.

Bragg has also been hanging out with the folks AOL's music blog Spinner a lot in recent weeks. First he tolded fans not to vote, then he called Prince Charles a "fucking jerk." All in all, we look forward to seeing the anti-folk singer in the States, as should you. The dates are as follows:

10.17 State College, PA: The State Theatre
10.18 Ithaca, NY: State Theatre
10.19 West Long Branch, NJ: Monmouth University
10.21 Somerville, MA: Somerville Theater
10.22 Somerville, MA: Somerville Theater
10.23 Lebanon, NH: Lebanon Opera House
10.24 Glenside, PA: Keswick Theatre
10.27 Washington, DC: 9:30 Club
10.28 Baltimore, MD: Rams Head Live
10.29 Charlottesville, VA: Paramount Theatre
10.30 Norfolk, VA: Attucks Theater
11.01 Durham, NC: Duke University
11.02 Asheville, NC: The Orange Peel

It seems Bragg is sticking to the east coast and mostly the more leftist college towns. Of course, we all know what comes two days after the tour concludes.
