Billboard Changes Chart Rules, Albums Sold For A Dollar Will No Longer Count

You know how Lady GaGa topped Billboard this year by selling her album, Born This Way, for only a dollar on Amazon? Well, that will no longer happen--at least the topping Billboard part-- as Billboard has changed the rules regarding album sale prices and appearing on Billboard. Basically, no album can be considered unless it is sold for at least $3.50, which is still super cheap, but will prevent any stat boosting by selling your album for a buck.

This isn't that big of a deal, but it changes labels' marketing and pricing schemes. [DS]
