Bill O'Reilly and Dennis Miller vs. Jay-Z and Young Jeezy (Video)

Last night on Bill O'Reilly's program he and fellow tool Dennis Miller took some time to talk about Young Jeezy and Jay-Z's performance of "My President Is Black" on Monday, which O'Reilly says offended some people, and by some people he means his Count Chocula self. He and Miller try to act like what Jeezy and Jay-Z said (mostly stuff about being happy about Bush leaving) was incredibly offensive, but it just makes the two of them seem ghoulish and out of touch. They both also try to act like they're happy that Obama is president, which is obviously not true (especially since that prior to November 4, Obama was pretty much a terrorist in both of their minds), and pandering towards most of the country who actually is happy to see Obama in the White House. That is why the new President can not associate himself with Hip Hop in any way. The views in that community are far too radical. I love hip hop, but now is the time for it to shut the hell up and let the president do his job. They are set to destroy any danger of children having a different role model than the typical thug.

January 22, 2009 at 3:57 p.m.

New jay lp, but the title is getting real tired. How many more times will you use krs' title?

January 22, 2009 at 4:17 p.m.

pathetic excuses for human beings. and i'm not talking about o'reilly and miller.

January 22, 2009 at 4:17 p.m.

It was offensive, it was ignorant and low class, and I say this as an African American. You need to respect the office, you can dislike the person in the office, I certainly did and you can be glad that an African American in the office, but don't continue to fulfill the stereotypes of young ignorant, angry black men by saying the stupid stuff they said.

January 22, 2009 at 4:29 p.m.

Wow t and Chris.....so collectively you have decided to condemn them to your one sided ignorance. Nice. Lets just take away their right to say anything about any President....because that would be democratic right??? And as for a pathetic excuse for a human being....well, that would be too easy. Oh and D Tizzle...musical preference does not a role model make. Entertainment is entertainment. When our families in the projects and ghettos from N.Y. to L.A. finally step up and project the morals and values that are needed, instead of supposedly getting them from rappers then we'll see a real change in OUR society.

January 22, 2009 at 5:02 p.m.

this was mad ignorant. obama would not like this. respect your president even if you dont like him, cause this is the only country where you can record hip hop music and sell it and make millions by making the use of the disgusting words like nigga, pussy, cocksucker, homo, bitch, f*ck, and ass. this is exactly why black people have these sterotypes.

January 22, 2009 at 5:02 p.m.

Bill O'Reilly is d**k. Dennis Miller is annoying. I agree with T and Chris (I'm white, btw) on the fact that it was offensive and ignorant. Maybe some other mainstream rappers (Common, Kanye?, hell even Atmosphere) who haven't made a living off of rapping about selling crack, pimping hos, and killing people, would be better spokespeople for political statements.

my 2 cents.

January 22, 2009 at 5:02 p.m.

I guess no one has heard of the term "little white lies" I dont think Jay-Z was referring to race when he said it. Some rhymes is too sophisticated for some people. I live in DC and I was there when he performed. they cut a lot out of the song. They didnt mention Jay-Z rappin about the progress black people made from MLK to Obama to the future. Also people, dont act like Obama never heard cursing. He stated that he listens to rap music a lot and have a lot of it on his Ipod. I dont agree with everything in the song but life still hasnt changed, Obama has only been president for 2 days now. in my opinion they did nothing wrong. i dont care if bush was president or not i say f*ck him daily cuz he f*cked up everything

January 23, 2009 at 1:24 a.m.

It was a metaphor referencing George Bush being a white caucasian to telling a white tie (a lie told not to hurt anyone's feelings). Everyone is blowing race way out of proportion in this country. It shouldn't matter that Obama is black. It shouldn't have mattered if George Bush was white. An educated individual would look at the policies rather than the skin color. When an individual involves themselves with racial issues it segregates themselves from the rest of the population (whether they are black or white). A "white" who hates "blacks" will avoid blacks and disagree for what they stand for. A "black" who hates "whites will avoid blacks and disagree for what they stand for. Color doesn't matter. Color doesn't make policies. Color doesn't fix countries. Arguments over color only divid us as Americans even more. Do your homework buddy. Clinton started the ridiculously low home loan rates. Bush should've stopped them, but he didn't. It is Clinton and Bush's fault the housing market being so bad. Outsourcing by big business has destroyed the economy. Nothing is made in the states. It gives us, americans, no jobs. The government can't hand out anymore unless it raises taxes. The country's national debt is $10,629,234,817,046.09. We can't afford government hand outs. Someone has to pay for it. Bush's only real mistake was the war in Iraq. Ignorance wont help the recession, the country or the president. I would suggest some research to everyone writing above me in this column. But I guess that what I would expect coming from people who look at color rather than policies. Please educate yourselves....

January 23, 2009 at 1:24 a.m.

That was very low class for Jay Z

January 23, 2009 at 1:24 a.m.

Buddy,
You should really educate yourself before blaming Bush for all the problems that have occurred over the last 8 years. Keep in mind that the president was not created in the constitution to carry the burdens of running the entire country. Rather, we have set him up with more responsibilities than can be possibly resolved in our current system. THE PRESIDENT IS ONLY SUPPOSED TO DEAL WITH THE MILITARY AND BUREAUCRACY! On a side note, Obama listening to rap has nothing to due with the racism found in this rhyme. There is nothing sophisticated about the term "white lies," we all know that was a play on words and know exactly what connotations were implied. To say otherwise is foolish... don't bury your head in the sand over a clear error in judgment. Peace

January 23, 2009 at 1:28 a.m.

This is typical ignorance of Bill O'Reilly. Why doesn't he listen to Jay-z's lyrics. Here they are. NOW judge.

My President is black, in fact he's half white.
So even in a racists' mind he's half right.
So even in these racist times we alright.
My President is black but his house is all white.

Rosa Parks sat so Martin Luther could walk,
Martin Luther walked so Barack Obama could run,
Barack Obama ran so all the children could fly,
So Ima spread my wings, you can meet me in the sky!

I already got my own clothes, already got my own shoes,
I was hot before Barack... Imagine what Im gone do!
Hello Ms. America, hey pretty lady!
Red white and blue flag, wave for me baby.
Never thought I say this sh!t... Baby Im good,
you can keep ya puss I dont want no more bush!
No more wars! No more Iraq!
No more white lies My President is Black!!!!

And yes, White lies meaning small lies, nothing to do with skin color.

January 23, 2009 at 1:28 a.m.

Bush didn't f*ck everything up. Get your facts straight.

January 23, 2009 at 1:28 a.m.

Check back in 4 years. Jay Z will have to change his tune a bit. Bush is out and nearly 80% of the country is happy to see him go. But by the same token nearly 80% of the country does not want to hear this type of message TODAY. Same goes for racisim in the white community. Obama's message of unity is what people in America want to hear NOW. Jay Z will be losing market share and so will white racists that spend all their time hating on Obama.

This country is not perfect. But here are a few realities. Jay Z would not be possible in many other places. Obama simply would not get elected in many other places.

Shut up an let Obama do his job. For all of us...i'm white and he is my president too.

January 23, 2009 at 1:28 a.m.

What if we go around yelling our president is white? You honestly can't tell me that it wouldn't get attention. Obama is not my guy, but I respect the civility and levelheadedness he is showing so far. The inauguration was a great day for Americans, a peaceful transfer of power (there are very few places that this happens IN THE WORLD) and for these two to emit these words of hate..... It just makes me sick. Jay Z was a VIP at the inauguration for God sakes and his woman sang the song Barack and Michelle danced to!! What if back when Clinton was elected a bunch of guys dressed up in white robes and white masks and chanted our president is white? That's basically what's going on here. Flat out words of hate!

January 23, 2009 at 1:28 a.m.

I can understand being upset with Bush but where is the rage against the democratic senators who also got us into this mess?

January 23, 2009 at 1:28 a.m.

It's called freedom of speech mother f*cker

January 23, 2009 at 1:28 a.m.

Here we go again blaming everything on rap music. If you raise your kids right, nothing else matters

January 23, 2009 at 11:27 a.m.

I hate the fact that when asked most people cannot give a reason why they voted for Obama.. I heard a Black DJ put it best before the election when people were calling in and saying "Vote Obama" on his show so he would ask them why and 90% could not come up with a single reason why Obama should be president. It would just be "dead air" nothing he would have to ask if they were still there cause he thought they hung up.. So now is the reason most voted for him cause he is black I think so is that the right reasons NO not to me but thats why this country is a great country cause you can say what you want.. If Obama would have had the credintials and background that McCain had I would have definatly voted for him but he didn't so I didn't..

Now the fact that the black rap stars were all about making sure that everyone knew who they were voting for that's there right. They wore the shirts and made sure that their fans and followers knew who they wanted in so did that maybe sway the vote of the younger crowd probably so do I blame them for their tactics why should I how do you get people to do what you want them to do you show your support for what you believe in any way you can ie words, shirts, songs, ect.. There will always be someone that doesnt like how things are done and thats their opinion and you can have yours so live with it.. The News companies always put a spin on it to get the most out of it wether it makes the person look good or not..

This is my 2 cents and if you dont like it OHHH WELL...

January 23, 2009 at 11:27 a.m.

I can't wait for Jay Z to take hot lead between the eyes

January 23, 2009 at 11:27 a.m.

The truth of the matter is this was WRONG this is not about "Blaming rap music" or taking away someone's "freedom of speech", if these were white artists and they made such comments in public(for those of you who dont want to acknowledge that they are racists comments) all of black media would have been all over this demanding an apology! It was disrespectful, it was wrong and inapproriate. I notice the individual who cited the lyrics fail to cite the lyrics by Young Jeezy who referred to Obama as his n*ggah. Yes, Martin walked so Obama could run and win and then be called a n*ggah by a young black man...yeah it gets no better than this!

January 23, 2009 at 11:28 a.m.

I am just amazed at how far we have come, but how far we need to go. We as a people say we are so proud to get power, but look how we act when we get it...That night should have been one night where the N word was not used. I dont understand how you can put REVEREND M.L.K in the same rap as you put swear words. In the song Young whatever his name is talks about My president is black but my car is blue and my rims are blue...are you kidding me? Yeah you have the freedom of speech, but some people need to just shut up. This song just put black folks 10 steps back....

January 23, 2009 at 11:28 a.m.

This is all stupid. We can go back and forth, everybody giving their opinions and nobody changing anything. What does this song have to do with anything? YES OUR PRESIDENT IS BLACK. I'm happy he is. YES BUSH F-ed up the country no matter who doesn't want to admit it, no matter what definitions you want to throw out there, whatever. He f-ed up. He was the worse president ever. We are in a lot more debt because of him and will be for a while. If you took the song to be racist then that's what it is to you. So what!?! Everybody knows this country still has a lot of race issues that may never go away. Just like African Americans had to learn to deal with it, ignore it, over come it and live our lives, all other races can do the same. HEy PlatteRat... What do you think ya'll was doing in ya'll white robes rallying through the streets of the south all those years? Hell, last year around election time? This year 2009? How do you think we felt? How do you think we feel? The little anger and resentment you feel now can't even compare. I wouldn't care about you saying your president is white... that's what they've all been UNTIL NOW! OUR PRESIDENT IS BLACK!!!!!!!!!! Does that offend you? Why? Are you racist? It's just stating a fact. In fact you can look at him like ya'll look at Tiger Woods, or however the f-ck you want to and everybody else going to look at it how they want to. Don't take it so personal, SUCK IT UP. Tell the rest of your Klan we know they still marching and rallying down in Georgia, Florida and Mississippi... I hear bout it, I watch the news and read the papers. We aint scared. We aint going no where! That was the problem back in the day, they was scared. This a new generation and we aint settling for ya'll "Bush-it". Understand? But as far as my president everybody need to respect the man for his mission, his message, accomplishments, etc. F-ck race. It aint got nothing to do with the big picture. Get right America

January 23, 2009 at 1:47 p.m.

This is crazy - OReilly and Miller didn't even play the actual song, and the two of them sat up there and mocked the entire point of the song - which has a lot of meaning to a lot of people.. yeah, it was radical, but so are a lot of the things that shaped the view expressed in the song.. at least check out the video of the whole thing - just copy paste one of these cause I can't get the link in:

January 23, 2009 at 1:47 p.m.

I can say this in Bush's face

January 23, 2009 at 9:02 p.m.

i think they were being ignorant and low class but still were just expressing their feelings towards this certain time in history.they were merely agreeing to the stereotypes being said about black people.we all know after bush left 80% of the people were happy seeing him leave but still the same 80% do not appreciate that type of language.but also its not like the world id coming to an end obama is still president ,and they should atleast be glad that blacks are partticipating in the election process and actually caring about what is going on in the country, but didnt have to use those non holyy words they couldve performed that same song but just know who your audience is going to be and how they gon digest it and u know we shouldnt all be anti- bush because being a president is not an easy task to carry out especially when you have to have the best interest of the poeple in your hands and still be a dad and a husband.

January 23, 2009 at 10:46 p.m.

Who ever wrote this article is a jackass... bill Oreilly might not be happy about Obama, but Dennis Miller is a Liberal Democrat... Huge supporter of Obama...

Gather the facts idiot before you go headfirst into a rant about things you know nothing about...

Just because he thinks the song is ridiculous (which it is)doesnt mean he doesnt like Obama...

How are you gonna write a song about your new president that you're so proud of, and drop the N bomb?!?!?

Ignorant!!!!!!!!!!

January 23, 2009 at 10:49 p.m.

dj1ny, Dennis Miller is not a liberal democrat by any means. Gather the facts idiot before you go headfirst into a rant about things you know nothing about...

January 24, 2009 at 12:40 a.m.

Thanks Daba. Daba #1.

January 24, 2009 at 1:39 p.m.

Thanks Ned! I think rap started in the 70's the USA had issues prior. If your going to blame Hip Hop for everything then we really got issues that we need to iron out. The only reason why Obama is in office is because no one else wanted the job TRUST. 2 wars the country been broke and the world hates our ideals. The last 20 odd years the usa was like a bully in the school yard and now we standing alone. So we can call each other idots and blame rap and be computer gangsters. Ask your grandparents or great grandparents how they really feel and you would be so suprised. All i am asking is do not blame President OBAMA for not fixing 20 yrs of screw ups.

I can't front J lyrics were kinda tight on that verse.

January 24, 2009 at 1:39 p.m.

I HAVE TO SAY IF A WHITE PERSON GOT ON STAGE AND EXPRESSED THERE FEELING ABOUT SOME BLACK PERSON THAT WAY AS JEEZY AND JAY Z DID.EVERYONE WOULD BE OUT RAGED. THERE SHOULD BE A PUBLIC APOLOGY. THAT IS A DISGRACE I AM OFFENDED. I FEEL THE BLACK COMMUNITY SHOULD BE UPSET WITH THEM AS WELL THAT IS WHO MAKES YOU LOOK BAD. AS FOR OBAMA I FEEL HE IS GOING TO MAKE CHANGES BUT DON'T FOR GET THERE IS CONGRESS AND THE SENATE. HE CAN'T DO ANYTHING WITH OUT THERE APPROVAL, SO JUST REMEMBER BUSH WAS NOT THE ONLY ONE TO MAKE MISTAKE THERE WAS OTHERS, YOU CAN'T BLAME ONE MAN FOR AMERICA'S PROBLEMS. ITS EACH AND EVERY ONE OF US. TOO.

January 24, 2009 at 3:14 p.m.

maybe Jeezy was a little harsh, but there was nothing wrong with what jay Z said period.

January 25, 2009 at 3:44 p.m.

my president white
that mean my president is right
word niggas

January 27, 2009 at 11:08 a.m.

Hey Southern Hospitality quit focusing on the fact that I brought up white robes and trying to speak for me.... I wasn't marching or chanting in a white robe! You can't tell me that you wouldn't be a little pissed if Eminem or Tim McGraw and Kenny Chesney got up on stage and rapped or sang a song about how all of the presidents before have been white and this country is still one of the greatest places to live and how we don't need a black president screwing things up (which is not my opinion just using it an example)..... I would be just as pissed as I am now about Jay Z and Jeezy.. Simply because those are ignorant words!! I agree with you LET RACE GO!! The only reason I feel anger and resentment is because I thought we were all moving past those times, but obviously these two haven't.... These two haven't let race go and that's what is messed up. It's not MY KLAN, I was just making a comparison so calm down and read my post again it sounds like we agree on some things even though you contradict yourself a couple of times.....

January 28, 2009 at 4:25 p.m.

i need to say something----what the heck does it mean when people are

January 28, 2009 at 5:20 p.m.

How the hell can you say Bush protected our country when last time I checked we never had an attack on America from a foreign country since Hawaii, but that comes from ignoring what he knew was going on! Attack the people who did it instead of taking over a country for the resources we running out of (Iraq). I feel it was wrong how Jeezy and Jay-Z said what they said but they were just speaking out on what they have went through along with the millions of other African Americans over the past. So sorry it wasn't put in form they can understand. Jay-Z is worth more in one year than both of those to running they mouth for the rest of there life. You wonder why documentaries like Zeitgeist come out explaining how our lovely country is built for us to fail and keep debt cause they know the technology we have today can force us not to have to pay for the things we value as utilities. So if you listen to Barack Obama speech and learn a few things about science you could undetstand but I'm sure those two couldn't tell you how much one solar panel on a house could produce a enough energy in a week to last months. Technology!

January 28, 2009 at 7:23 p.m.

Why is when a black man speaks his mind he gets blasted but when someone white says something it goes under the rug. America will always be full of hypocrites and this was ignorant in no part. Fox news loves this stuff and they will pounce on anything that his positive in hip-hop music...anything

January 28, 2009 at 7:37 p.m.

The way they said what they said was not appropriate, but you have to see it the way they do. They are black in America. People say race is not a factor and are quick to say they are not raciest but they are that's how we are as a Country. I support whatever President is in Office, but I have to say how Katrina took the cake in the black community. They didn't agree with Bush and his decisions and to call them ignorant for speaking their mind is a bit childish.

Obama not being able to be affiliated with hip hop is ridiculous because they are who support him the most, not just because he is black but because he is a fresh face and he brings hope to our Country.

These are very intelligent men ( I mean they came from nothing to something in the terms of what America thinks something is).

And by the way "concerned white America" someone just did express himself about a black man and he was on national television not a preforming stage, Bill O' Reilly did. And guess what others have also you don't consider it that way because you agree with what was said. And you are right we can't just blame one man, but that one man wanted to be the creme de la creme and he brought it upon himself because he represents us as a whole. And for other countries to see us fight a war that we can not win and apart of our country be looked over during a terrible time is why people blame HIM.

January 28, 2009 at 7:37 p.m.

hey lets not forget we do have freedom of speech in this country.we blow everything out of proportion at time in this country and its makes us sound ignorant as a whole. I am not justifying what jeezy and jay said was wrong nor right, i am simply saying they have to right to speak their mind. Its as if we are still in the era when a black man had to remain quiet or be punished. Its funny how dennis miller how dennis miller commented about the black community as if we control this country for thousands of years. jay z and young jeezy were products of those same environments that you mention and they came up. They have been contributors to their commmunity as well. If they destroy us so much, why is it that blacks purchases of music is the least out of every race. am sorry i forgot we struggling to put food on the table instead. i got an idea for bill oreilly. i want bill and dennis to swap living accomodations, wealth jobs etc with two guys from the hood preferably black for two weeks and see how it feels to be in our shoes before judging. jay z has the right to talk bout bush and the war on iraq, we aint find bin laden yet and we worrying about iraq. its as if we forgot about sept.11 and the wounds that are still open from the victims family. see we rush to fight a war overseas when we got war going on right in our own yard call poverty and crime. the white house not too far from the so called ghetto or hood and i bet they wouldnt take the time to just visit. oh yeah blame on a security issue. lets look at the fact before bush there was a surplus, after bush its a defecit.we cant blame jay and jeezy for how they feel cuz it our people(all races suffering from hardship)who feeling the crisis cuz when you(bill and dennis) wake up in the morning you know that your going to work, we gotta wonder whether or not we still have a job. when you leave that job paying you millions you know your going homw to your big house where all the utilities are paid in full and the butler preparing you food & bath, we gotta wonder if we still have a home and food and if so is the utilities on. so whenever you want to talk bout role models do me a favor go to new york marcy park or atlanta bank head. last but not least before u lashed out at a man, try walking in his shoes and seeing where he comes from 1st

January 29, 2009 at 9:46 a.m.

ok j. you got a point stating a fact about people not having a reason why the voted for obama. now we talk about credentials and experience and i have to disagree to a point. see i have realized for quite some time that what glitters dont always be gold. what i am basically saying is that just because the barack obama had a little less experience than mccain that doesnt mean that he was or isnt right for the job. In fact bush had similar experience and had it from a great source which was there even before him, which is his dad and things still got messed up. any of the two were qualified i must admit. I voted for barack as well as my friends not because he was black but because he was the more sincere out of the two. it didnt seem as if it was just for show. his character seal the deal, he was one of the few presidents in my time and those i have studied which were honestly a people person. he seem genuine and seem as if he really care about americans as a whole and not just one race. one question i asked you if you, what makes a man qualified to be president or for anything? eg. say you went to college and i didnt, we both work at the same place with similar posisition. do you considered yourself to be more qualified than me because you you have a college degree and i dont? what if am a people person and your not, do you think clients would even care that you have a college degree or not. sometimes we have to allow people to make their own mistakes and learn from them. also never judge a book by its cover. as far as the music is concern, its not the black race that makes hip hop so successful because we are the race which supports the least in cd sales. hip hop greatest supporter is the white race , so think about it.

February 2, 2009 at 7:34 p.m.

i understand where jayz is coming from. go jay. may god bless BARAK OBAMA AND HIS FAMILY. ALSO GOD BLESS AMERICA

February 2, 2009 at 9:21 p.m.

Blah blah blah.....freedom of speech......whitey is racist. This is all crap. Oreilly and Miller actually had a point in showing a little disgust in what was said in the song. This was supposed to be a historical time, becoming President of the United States is not like getting promoted to night shift manager at Popeyes. This celebration was to welcome in the most powerful person in the world, I don't think you need to rap about your President being black. I am pretty sure the other 6 billion people already know this. So then why would they do this?? Were they expressing how they were happy that someone black, not white, was the President?? Some people are right on here in thinking that if the roles were reversed that there would definitely be some animosity over a song like this. The only thing I am disappointed about is that the Obama team would allow a song like this to be approved for this ceremony, they were supposed to paint a picture of excellence in celebration. Instead I hear someone spouting off about race. But what can you expect from 2 guys, who obviously many of you agree with, that can only see in the world in two colors.

February 4, 2009 at 1:12 p.m.

Bush did f*** up everything. he was the WORST president in history. Stop sugarcoating s**t and keep it real. Why would I want to respect someone who did such a terrible job as him. F*** Out Of Here!!! And everybody that's hating on Jay f*** out of here too. Those lyrics have more class than you. In the infamous words of Kanye,
