Big Star Box Set Due in September

Later this summer, Stax is set to reissue the first two Big Star albums, #1 Record and Radio City, on vinyl, but a bigger Big Star reissue is in the works: the long-rumored Big Star rarities box set is due out in September via Rhino. 

The yet-to-be-titled set will feature four discs of live recordings, unreleased material, and a big book looking over the band's legacy. No word on how much the set will retail for, but expect it on September 15. [Blurt]
