In the late '80s, when hip-hop was truly starting to turn into what we listen to today, there were a few kings reigning supreme. One of them, of course, was Big Daddy Kane, who apparently was the guest of honor at a recent party in Chicago. He also performed at the event, which I'm sure was live-as-hell because Kane still puts on a killer show.
And in between performing and mingling with fellow hip-hop heads, the Bed-Stuy native was interviewed by GoWhereHipHop. He jokes about feeling "old as hell" seeing kids do today what he was doing 20 years ago, shoots down the idea that "hip-hop is dead," and reveals that he's working on a live album, The Last Supper, with his band. Sounds good to us, Kane.
