Big Daddy Kane, Doug E. Fresh To Appear In Spike Lee Hip-Hop Horror Film

    Hip-hop nerds rejoice: Spike Lee is executive-producing a horror movie that’s named after and inspired by the Notorious B.I.G.’s “You’re Nobody ‘Til Somebody Kills You.” According to VIBE, the film depicts the work of two New York City homicide detectives working to solve the murders of numerous famous hip-hop acts.

    And as the headline of this post notes, such living legends as Big Daddy Kane and Doug E. Fresh are set to appear in You’re Nobody ‘Til Somebody Kills You, which is directed by Lee’s protégé, Michael A. Pickney. It stars James McDaniel and Michael K. Williams, known for their roles on NYPD Blue and The Wire, respectively.

    The film premieres Sept. 23 at the Knitting Factory in Brooklyn, N.Y. as part of the WILLiFEST.
