Big Boi’s Next Solo Album Is “80% Done”

It’s still unclear whether OutKast will ever come out with new music, but at least the band’s two members each have albums on the way. Earlier today Big Boi announced that his next solo album, a follow-up to 2010’s Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty, is almost complete. Big Boi tweeted this morning, “I’m 80% done on mine, lotta surprises #weoutchea ask @SHAMEONEYXL #DefJam.”

He went on to confirm that the new album, Daddy Fat Sax: Soul Funk Crusader, will also have at least one big name collaborator, stating “#Fact RT @JayThe_Wizard: KiD CuDi will feature on @BigBoi’s LP.” Later on he tweeted, “Big Boi Solo LP, then 3000 Solo LP #weoutchea,” confirming that fellow OutKast member André 3000’s heavily-anticipated solo debut will be out sometime after Daddy Fat Sax. Of course, true OutKast fans could always stick the albums together themselves and call it Speakerboxx/The Love Below 2. [HHDX
