It turns out that all the hope of an imminent Outkast album is probably premature: Big Boi dropped a bomb on that when he told an Australian website that he has recorded 17 songs for a new album, tentatively titled Daddy Fat Sax: Soul Funk Crusader. The album is the official follow-up to Sir Lucious Left Foot, and Boi says some crazy stuff about it:
"It's going to be S-A-X-X-X triple unadulterated funk to the extremest level. Straight lyrical assassin, and the beats are going to be as hard hitting as always. I'mma let everything else be a surprise, and just let it speak for itself."
Big Boi also says that he could put out the album tomorrow if he wanted to. That's good news for those of us who waited out the two years of Sir Lucious pushbacks, but not news good enough to make anyone think that the album will be out in a timely fashion. But still, new Big Boi album in the works, y'all. Let's get pumped:
