September 25 will see the release of The Scene of the Crime, the latest album from Bettye LaVette. The album will be released by Anti-. Backing LaVette on Scene will be Southern rockers the Drive-By Truckers. Additional help on the album comes from legendary keyboardist Spooner Oldham and bassist David Hood, father of Trucker Patterson Hood.
