Best Buy secures Guns N’ Roses Chinese Democracy exclusive, promises 2008 release date

The previously rumored exclusive deal between Interscope, Guns N’ Roses’ record label, and Best Buy has been officially confirmed: the electronics giant will have exclusive sales rights to Chinese Democracy, assuming tracks beyond “Shackler’s Revenge” actually exists. Apparently Best Buy thinks the album is done, as they are working on ironing out the final details to set a release date for the album.

Of course, Chinese Democracy has seen more release dates than any other album in history (if my calculations are correct, 321), so it’ll remain to be seen if the thing ever gets released. At any rate, Dr. Pepper better start stocking up on supply, because 275 million Americans are (maybe) going to be taking them up on their offer. [Billboard]
