Gigwise touts the fifty best albums of the Millennium

Perhaps tipped to a forthcoming alien invasion or something, the folks at Gigwise have already put out their fifty best albums of the Millennium. I guess if any artists have some good stuff in the can, they should hop into one of those Futurama cryogenic devices and wait for the year 3000.
Hopefully this list is a little tongue in cheek, but the blurbs accompanying each album are deadly serious. But as this list is compiled with only seven years of material, bands like Franz Ferdinand have a larger artistic impact than they may have in the long run. I kept clicking through the list and thinking there was going to be some kind of joke at the end. When I finally got to the album listed at number one, I really thought it was going to be Weird Al Yankovic or something. I guess people just really, really like to make lists.

At least all of the album's are good, but At the Drive-In at no. 1 is pretty much like putting Weird Al there.

This list wasn't worth me clicking next 49 times to read through it.

Obviously it's a list to date. But the words "so far" would have sufficed. Good list tho!
