On June 5th, Linda Perry's Custard label will release the next album by troubadour Ben Jelen, titled Pulse. Perry produced the album, and Phil Ek is mixing some of the songs. It's the follow up to 2004's Give it All Away, which came out on Madonna's now-defunct Maverick imprint. Dude must have a thing for ladies' labels. Jelen will be at South by Southwest and then tour more later in the year when the album is on shelves.
Anybody know if that is really the guy's name? All I can think of is those annoying Dr. Scholl's commercials. "Ben Jelen? Like Magellan!"
