Belle and Sebastian Curating ATP in the U.K. in December

The lineup for ATP New York is starting to take shape, but the ATP organization isn’t sitting still—they’ve just announced that Belle and Sebastian will curate a December incarnation of the festival in the U.K. The band famously curated the Bowlie Weekender in 1999, which inspired the ATP organization to take up the multi-band indoor-at-a-holiday-resort idea and run with it.

The event is billed as Bowlie 2, and will be part of the same 10-year celebrations of ATP as the Saturday lineup at ATP New York, which is bringing together past curators of the festival. The Belle and Sebastian dates are Dec. 10-12, and will feature at least one set from the curators.

ATP is now so popular in the U.K. that plenty of tickets will be shifted for Bowlie 2 before any other artists are announced, although another December set of shows with a different curator is expected to be announced soon by the organization.
