Beck Releasing New Single On Jack White’s Third Man Records, Hear Clips

Following his recent return to the stage, it’s been revealed now that Beck will release a new single as part of the Blue Series, an ongoing singles project by Jack White‘s Third Man Records. Beck reportedly recorded the songs, “I Just Started Hating Some People Today” b/w “Blue Randy,” in Nashville late last year while he was working on an upcoming album.

Both songs were produced by White, who contributes drums, acoustic guitar, background and “punk vocal” on “Today,” and just drums on “Randy.” Hear snippets of the two tunes, which will be out May 28, here.

Although available digitally, a very limited run of 100 tri-color seven-inches of the single will be available at Randy’s Records in Salt Lake City on June 2 as well. An additional 50 will be “randomly inserted in mail orders for the single placed with Third Man Records.” Good luck getting a copy. [P4K]
