McCartney predicts the Beatles will go digital in 2008

Sir Paul has spoken, and predicted that his old band will hit the net sometime in 2008. Though he offered no specific details, McCartney said that the project was down to the fine tuning stages, and that any delays bringing everybody's favorite Liverpudlians to the net have been due to "contractual" issues as well as a desire to do the project proper justice. For the full story, click here. McCartney also mentioned he was (yawn) realeasing a three DVD set of his solo performances as well as an expanded version of his most recent effort, Memory Almost Full. If he really wanted to sell either of those, he should flat out say that the quicker his DVD and album hit the five million unit mark, the quicker Sgt. Pepper will be available for download. That's about what it would take for me to purchase three discs full of Wings and Michael Jackson duets.
