For the first time since MCA died last month, Beastie Boys fans received a piece of good news. According to longtime producer Mario C., the band has a treasure trove of material that has yet to be released.
In an interview with NME, the man who worked on the Beasties’ seminal early ‘90s albums, said this material, which stretches from Paul’s Boutique through Hello Nasty, could see the light of day. However, don’t count on it being anytime soon.
“We'll take it slowly,” the producer told the British publication. “No one’s thinking of doing anything right away. It's too soon.”
