This is a very revealing yet re-occurring situation in rap. But on many other levels and venues among black ppl. The reason there are plenty of churches in the black community on the surface looks like there is lots of righteousness but in fact it is becuz there is lots of division. The moment a person disagrees with the other they go and start a new church of blah blah blah.
Having said that, Beans is hurt and has been able to hold it off much longer than most (which shows some character). But again, the brother is hurt. But the problem is that the game they playing in isnt nor ever has been a game. It is a business, BIG BUSINESS. And the first one to do real business wins. We as a ppl have a way of staying base in a situation and not evolving. There are ppl around ‘your man’ who are strictly business and are eating off, sending kids to college, establishing trust funds all off ‘your man’. So they are bout it bout it. So no matter what you and your mans relationship is, or what you all agree and shake hands on, the pprwork is keep and maintained by those taking care of business. It aint personal. The hurt Beans has is that he thought/still thinks Jay is TOTAL control. And JAY THOUGHT he WAS in TOTAL control and he really isnt. Whatever worth Jay has someone else is WORTH more based upon Jay’s worth. And Jay is contracturally liable to that person or entity. Because a person is an artist doesnt mean they dont have obligations that are written in stone. That’s what is called BUSINESS. Solution: Jay, within your power(because at your level you do have perks) and knowledge and personal integrity. Go to your brother and whatever you can do because you know he is talented, will be making the ‘History’, you claim motivates you. This is more of a opportunity than not. This isnt like other beefs. At least it doesnt sound like it. This is the one that can cause you to loose sleep at night. Beans was green, driving two Bentleys isnt that clear? He didnt no perhaps anymore or even less than what you knew when you came into the Business you thought was a game. It would be a great point in the history of Black business and black men relationships to end the division. Keep this in mind, because this is a business those whose business is to exploit have a way of …. exploiting a breach. Every relationship has rough spots and hollywood couples catch hell. And there you are waaaay in Paris and the lil homie’s comment from Philly is getting primetime. That little comment from Beans about the wifey that he is holding close to him NOW ….what if those whose BUSINESS is to rock ships (since we keeping it gangsta) makes Beans an offer he cant refuse? They would have a field day making a GAME out of your personal BUSINESS. Go make it right my brother its the highest thought. I know you are already home but show that brother who obviously has lost his way but has been sobered by your success and departure, maaaaaan show that brother home and lead by example!
